The 12-month term, what happens after it, and how to leave.
How long is the contract?
- 12 months.
- After that it continues month to month.
- Once you are past the 12 months you can cancel with 30 days' notice.
Why is there a 12-month contract?
- The site is designed, written and built before you have paid much of it.
- The monthly price only works because it is spread over a year.
Can I cancel in the first year?
- The 12-month commitment stands, so the remaining payments are still due.
- Talk to us — if we have got something wrong we would rather fix it.
What happens after 12 months?
- Nothing changes unless you want it to.
- The plan rolls on monthly at the same price.
- 30 days' notice ends it.
How do I cancel?
- Email or ring us.
- We will confirm the last billing date in writing.
Do I own my domain?
- Yes. It is registered in your name from day one.
- You keep it if you ever leave.
What happens to my website if I leave?
- The domain is yours and moves with you.
- Hosting stops, so the site comes down from our servers.
- Ask us about a copy of the content before you go.
Do you keep my content if I stop paying?
- We keep backups for a short period after cancellation.
- Ask for anything you need before that runs out.
Am I personally liable if I sign up for my company?
- If you sign up on behalf of a company, you also agree personally that the payments will be met.
- This is set out in the terms you tick at checkout.
Is there a cooling-off period?
- Rights differ between a consumer and a business customer.
- The terms set out what applies to you.
